STORY ABOUT VLAD THE IMPALER
Vlad III, Prince of Wallache, more commonly known as Vlad the Impaler or Dracula, was a three-time voivode of Wallache, ruling mainly from 1456 to 1462. Vlad the Impaler was born in November or December 1431, in the fortress of Sighisoara. During his early years of life, Vlad was forced to live outside of his intended native country of Wallache because his family was living in exile in Transylvania. At the time, his father had been relieved of his position by pro-Ottoman boyars, which were high-ranking aristocrats. Vlad is best known for his resistance against the Ottoman Empire and its expansion and for the cruel punishments he imposed on his enemies. He was the Son of Vlad Dracul, who was a member of the Order of the Dragon. Vlad Dracula was at war with the Ottoman Turk, when ever he defeated a Turkish army he would kill all the captive to make sure they wouldn't invade again.
Vlad the Impaler killed so many people so he could rule Wallache easier because its easier to rule over people that are afraid of you. He truly enjoyed torturing and killing others.
When Vlad killed people Vlad usually had a horse attached to each of the victim's legs and a sharpened stake was gradually forced into the body. The end of the stake was usually oiled and care was taken that the stake not be too sharp, else the victim might die too rapidly from shock. Normally the stake was inserted into the body through the buttocks and was often forced through the body until it emerged from the mouth. However, there were many instances where victims were impaled through other body orifices or through the abdomen or chest. Infants were sometimes impaled on the stake forced through their mother's chests. The records indicate that victims were sometimes impaled so that they hung upside down on the stake.
Vlad spent some time imprisoned in Transylvania. Eventually he charmed the Prince that kept him captive and even married that Prince's sister. He then led a small army south into Wallache to try and reclaim the throne and he was defeated and beheaded.
